My trial ends today — what happens next

What happens when your PatientNotes free trial ends — whether your data is safe, what you lose access to, and how to keep going.

Your trial gives you full access to PatientNotes for a limited period. When it ends, here's exactly what happens — and how to keep going if you want to.

What happens when my trial ends

At the end of your trial, your account moves into a paused state. You won't lose your data — all your sessions, notes, and templates are saved and will still be there when you subscribe.

What you'll lose access to until you subscribe:

  • Recording new sessions

  • Generating new clinical notes

  • Accessing the template editor

You can still log in and view your existing notes and sessions. Nothing is deleted.

How to subscribe and keep going

  1. Log in to PatientNotes

  2. Go to Settings → Subscription

  3. Choose your plan — Essential or Professional

  4. Enter your payment details and confirm

Your account activates immediately. If you're on an organisation plan, each active user occupies one seat at the plan rate.

Which plan should I choose?

  • Essential —— Full clinical note generation, templates, and session recording. Best for individual clinicians.

  • Professional —— Everything in Essential, plus organisation templates, team sharing, letters and reports, and Practice Manager access. Best for clinic groups and teams.

Not sure which fits? Chat with us via the help widget and we'll help you decide.

Can I get more time on my trial?

In some cases we can extend your trial if you haven't had a chance to fully evaluate the product. Chat with us via the help widget before your trial ends and we'll see what we can do.

Is my data safe if I don't subscribe straight away?

Yes. Your notes, sessions, and templates are retained for 30 days after your trial ends. After 30 days of inactivity on an unsubscribed account, data may be removed in line with our data retention policy. If you're unsure, subscribe or contact support to confirm your data is safe.
