The "Enter Manually" feature lets you type or paste text directly into PatientNotes to generate clinical notes, summaries, letters, or reports — without recording audio.
How to Find It
On the Sessions page, when creating or opening a session, look for the "Enter Manually" link beneath the record button. Click it to open a text input area where you can type or paste your notes directly.
When to Use It
You already have typed notes from another source (e.g. your practice management software)
You want to generate a structured note, summary, or letter from existing written content
You prefer to type your consultation notes rather than record audio
What the AI Does With Your Manual Notes
PatientNotes will process your typed text and generate structured clinical output — just like it would from an audio recording. You can then use Generate Summary or Generate Letter/Report depending on what you need. The AI formats and structures the content based on your selected template, but does not add clinical information that wasn't in your original text.
Tip: This is ideal for follow-up letters, chronic condition reports, or any situation where you already have written content to work from.
