Enter Manually lets you type or paste your own clinical notes into PatientNotes without recording audio. Your notes are saved exactly as you wrote them. They aren't rewritten or formatted into a template. You can then use them to generate letters, reports and patient summaries.
How to find it
Click New Session.
On the Start a new session screen, find the line "To enter clinical notes manually (without a recording and no automatic refinement) click here".
Click the click here link, then type or paste your notes.
Using Nookal or Cliniko? You can also do this from your dashboard. Choose Use my notes on the appointment.
When to use it
You've already written your notes and just want letters, reports or a patient summary created from them
You prefer to type your notes rather than record
You have notes from another system that you want to use as the basis for a letter or report
What happens to your notes
Your text becomes the clinical note for that session, exactly as written. There's no AI refinement and no template applied. Once you mark the note complete, you can generate letters, reports and patient summaries from it.
Want your notes formatted into your template instead? Start a normal session and record. If you want a session's note redrafted in a different template, choose a different template from the template dropdown on the session and redraft.
