You can export your clinical notes directly from PatientNotes using the More (… ) button at the bottom of a note. This makes it easy to print, download a PDF, or email a plain-text version without needing to copy and paste into another system first.
Before you export, it’s helpful to know how Mark as complete works:
First: Mark as complete (copies your note)
When you click Mark as complete, PatientNotes saves the note and copies it to your clipboard automatically. This is the fastest way to transfer your note into another system.
Option 1: Paste into your client record (or use an integration)
After marking the note as complete, you can:
Paste the note into your practice management system/EHR (e.g. Cliniko, Nookal, Best Practice, Genie, CorePlus, etc.) using:
Ctrl + V (Windows)
Command + V (Mac)
Or, if your clinic has an integration, you can push/transfer the note into the client record via the connected workflow.
This is the recommended approach if you want the note stored inside your client record.
If you want to print, email, or download a separate copy directly from PatientNotes (instead of pasting into another system), use the options below.
