Early Access Features

Early Access Features let you try new PatientNotes functionality before it’s released to everyone. This is where we roll out beta features gradually, collect feedback, and make improvements before full release.

How Early Access works

  • When we have a new feature available for testing, we’ll usually notify you by email.

  • You can then choose to turn the feature on or off at any time using the Early Access menu.

  • If you enable a feature, it will appear in your account immediately (or after a refresh/log out and back in, depending on the feature).

How to access Early Access Features

  1. Go to Profile

  2. Find Early Access Features.

  3. Click Show me to view the available beta features.

How to enable or disable beta features

  1. In the Enable beta features panel, you’ll see a list of available features (e.g. Extended Templates).

  2. Use the toggle switch to turn each feature:

    • On to enable it

    • Off to disable it

Changes apply straight away in most cases.

Why you might use Early Access

Early Access is ideal if you want to:

  • Try upcoming features sooner

  • Provide feedback before full release

  • Gradually adopt workflow changes (e.g. switching to new Templates)

If you prefer a stable workflow, you can leave beta toggles off and wait for the full release.

Tip: Watch for our release emails

We’ll often announce what each beta feature does, who it’s best for, and any important notes. Keep an eye on your inbox so you know when new Early Access options become available.

If you have questions or feedback about an Early Access feature, send it to support and we’ll pass it on to the team.
