Craft with AI — just give feedback
Craft with AI is an AI agent built into the new template editor in PatientNotes. It works across Clinical Notes, Letters, Reports, and Patient Summaries. Rather than manually adjusting template structure, just describe what you want and Craft with AI makes the change for you.
Think of it like giving feedback to a colleague: describe what's not working or what you want added, and Craft with AI handles the rest.
How it works
Give feedback in plain language — describe what you want changed and it updates the template. For example: "The objective section is too long — make it more concise" or "Add a home exercise section after the plan."
Upload an existing note or template — paste in an example of your existing clinical note or an old V1 template and Craft with AI will convert it into a V2 template automatically.
Where to find it
Open any template from patientnotes.app/dashboard/templates and look for the Craft with AI tab in the editor panel. Available in all template types.
Examples of feedback you can give
"Make the subjective section shorter — just the main complaint and duration."
"The plan should always use a numbered list."
"Add a section for patient goals between assessment and plan."
"This is for an OT working with aged care clients — adjust the language."
"The letter is too formal — make it more conversational."
"This is a WorkCover report — adjust the tone for an insurer audience."
Keep refining until it's right
There's no limit to how many rounds of feedback you can give. After each change, use the Test tab to check the output against a real session. Most users find their template is production-ready within a few iterations.

Reference sections by name for targeted changes.
Mention your clinical discipline to keep language relevant to your practice.
