Cliniko Contacts Load Automatically for Letters & Reports

Your Cliniko contacts now load automatically when writing letters and reports in PatientNotes — no manual entry needed.

What it does

When you write a letter or report in PatientNotes, your Cliniko contacts — GPs, specialists, referrers, and other practitioners — are now available to select directly. PatientNotes pulls them from your Cliniko contacts list so you can address correspondence accurately without typing recipient details manually.

How to use it

  1. Open a letter or report in PatientNotes.

  2. In the Addressed to field, either:

    • Click the dropdown arrow to browse your Cliniko contacts, or

    • Start typing a name to search and select a matching contact.

  3. The recipient's details will populate automatically in the document.

Why it's useful

  • Eliminates manual entry of GP addresses, fax numbers, and clinic details.

  • Keeps your letters and reports consistent with the contact information already in Cliniko.

  • Faster correspondence — particularly useful when writing multiple referral letters in a session.

Important

Contacts are synced from your Cliniko account. If a contact is missing, check that it has been added in Cliniko first, then refresh the integration via Settings → Integrations → Cliniko.
