Accessing the Profile Section to Customize Your Preferences

To customize how terms like "patient" are used in your templates, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings: Log in to your PatientNotes.app account and navigate to the Settings tab in the menu.

  2. Choose Profile: Once in the Settings section, select Profile to access options that allow you to modify default terminology and other preferences.

  3. Update Your Preferred Terms: Within your profile settings, find the option to specify how you would like PatientNotes to refer to individuals in your records. To change "patient" to "client," update this setting by selecting “Refer to the person as a ‘Client’ or by their name in all instances. Do not use the word ‘patient.’”

By saving these changes, PatientNotes will now automatically use "client" in all references, personalizing the platform to your preferred terminology.
