If you’re unable to access the Patient Summary or Letter/Report buttons, it’s likely because the clinical note hasn’t been marked as complete yet.

Here’s What to Do:

  1. After finishing your clinical note, make sure to click “Mark as Complete.”

  2. Once the note is marked complete, the Patient Summary and Letter/Report buttons will become active and clickable. Screenshot 2025-05-29 at 11.07.05 am.png

  • If the session still doesn’t appear in the dropdown, try typing the session name in the field to search for it. The dropdown menu displays a limited set of items, and searching can help locate the session.

  1. You can then select from your letter templates and generate your report.

Tip: This step ensures the note is finalized before generating any formal documents, keeping your workflow tidy and organized.

Additionally, marking the note as complete ensures that all session details are finalized, which is a critical prerequisite for generating accurate and professional letters.

Managing and Adding Templates

If you do not see your desired letter template in the dropdown menu, you may need to create or add one. Here’s how:

  1. Access Template Settings: Navigate to Settings > Templates in the PatientNotes application.

  2. Create a New Template:

    • Click on New Template to start creating a new template.

    • Provide a name for the template (e.g., "Reference Letter").

    • Set up the sections and content you want to include in the template.

  3. Save the Template: Once you have configured the template, save it. The new template will now appear in the Letter template dropdown menu when generating a letter.
