PatientNotes + Pogozo — AI notes inside your workflow
The PatientNotes Chrome Extension connects directly to Pogozo so you can generate AI clinical notes and paste them back into your records — without leaving the screen, copying and pasting, or re-entering patient details.

What you'll need
Google Chrome browser
A PatientNotes account — start a free trial here
Access to Pogozo
Step 1 — Install the Chrome Extension
Open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store
Search PatientNotes Launcher — or click here to install directly
Click Add to Chrome → Add extension when prompted
Click the puzzle icon 🧩 in your Chrome toolbar → find PatientNotes Launcher → click the pin icon to keep it visible in your toolbar
💡 Why pin it? The extension needs to be pinned for the PatientNotes icon to appear inside Pogozo. This is the most common setup issue — if the icon isn't showing in Pogozo, check the extension is pinned first.
Step 2 — Set up split screen (recommended)
For the best experience, run Pogozo and PatientNotes side by side on one screen:
Open Pogozo in Chrome
Right-click the PatientNotes tab at the top of Chrome
Select Move tab to split view
Both apps are now side by side — no tab switching needed
🖥️ Single tab tip: Prefer a cleaner setup? In Extension Settings, choose Single Tab mode. Click the FAB once to open PatientNotes, then every new session loads into that same tab automatically.
Step 3 — Start a session from Pogozo
Open any patient record in Pogozo and go to Treatment Notes
A floating PatientNotes icon (the FAB) appears on the right side of the page
Click it — PatientNotes opens with the patient's name already pre-filled
Select your template and hit Start to begin recording
Can't see the FAB? Move your cursor to the right edge of the Pogozo page — the icon fades in on hover.
Step 4 — Complete your session
Record your session in PatientNotes as normal. When you're done:
Review your generated note in PatientNotes
Click Mark as Complete — your note is instantly copied to your clipboard
You're returned to Pogozo, ready to paste
Step 5 — Paste your note into Pogozo
Click into any answer field in Pogozo — Subjective, Objective/Assessment, or any treatment note field
A PatientNotes paste icon appears in the bottom-right corner of the field
Click it — your note pastes instantly
📋 Can't see the paste icon? Scroll to the bottom of the text field — it'll appear there. Or just use ⌘+V (Mac) / Ctrl+V (Windows) — your note is already on your clipboard.
Using PatientNotes for letters and summaries
The same workflow applies to referral letters, discharge summaries, and GP reports:
Go to the Documents tab in Pogozo and click Add document/letter
Generate your letter in PatientNotes and click Mark as Complete
Click into the letter text field in Pogozo — the paste icon appears
Click to paste — your letter drops straight in
💡 Customise your templates: You can adjust the formatting, tone, and structure of your notes and letters in the PatientNotes template editor — set it up once and every session follows your preferred style.
Keyboard Shortcut
⌘ Cmd + Shift + Y on Mac · Ctrl + Shift + Y on Windows
Opens a new PatientNotes session from any tab — without clicking the FAB.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Fix |
FAB icon not visible in Pogozo | Check the extension is pinned in your Chrome toolbar. Move your cursor to the right edge of the page — the icon fades in on hover. |
Patient name not pre-filling | Make sure you're on the patient record page in Pogozo (not just the client list) before clicking the FAB. |
Paste icon not appearing | Click directly into the answer field first. Scroll to the bottom of the field if needed. Or use ⌘+V / Ctrl+V. |
FAB click does nothing | Check PatientNotes is logged in. Refresh the Pogozo page and try again. |
